Marriage Preparation Course

We finally completed our Marriage Preparation Course over two Saturdays.

Well, I find that the course was quite informative and it does achieve its objectives to raise awareness as to what to expect and how to deal with it.  I kind of feel that it can be of a longer duration so that it can provide a deeper insight and analysis in order to help its target audience better.

But all in all, I was glad that we conquered the course together and in a positive way, we did learn new things during the course of these sessions.

Coming up soon would be our prewed photo selection!  I can't wait!! :)

Pre-wedding Photoshoot

We had our pre-wedding shoot last Friday and thank God for the awesome weather!

My skin was super cui but thank God for the invention of makeup and thanks to my makeup artiste who did a great job covering all my blemishes.  I, however, did take precaution not to drink too much water as I am super good at getting myself bloated with water retention.  Alas, my love for water.

We had to reach the photoshoot studio at 9am for makeup and the indoor shoot before heading out for the outdoor shoot.  I would say that the whole experience was fun and awesomely worthwhile.  I am so looking forward to the photos now!

And of course, not forgetting!  We totally need to thank God for our two good friends, Hak and Leen who were there with us under the hot sun, sneaking good photos of us, lugging my heavy gowns and driving us around.  If not for them, I do not think I will have it easy by myself and would definitely not been able to enjoy the whole experience as much.

First Gown Fitting

Yay, we're going down to Rico-a-Mona later for our first fitting.  I am totally excited and really keeping my fingers crossed that I still can fit in the gowns (as I haven't been diligently watching my diet at all).  Can't wait to see how our outfits are going to be matched! Whee ~~~

So so so so looking forward to our Prewed photoshoot this Friday.  Praying hard that my skin, hair, the weather and everything will be in perfect condition.  

OH YA, side-track.  I have found a new job and will be starting in May.  Be happy for me and pray that this will be the ONE for me for a long long time :)

好漫长的等待哦。

等到我的颈项好像又变长了许多！

今天心情很复杂。

一边期盼我的结果，根本没什么心情做工。

另一方面，还是得做工，还要面对这些坏人。

特别讨厌看到那些好吃懒做的人，怪东怪西的人。

真的有点不想做工了， 多希望下班的时间快点到来。

THE FINAL ROUND

Just thought of blogging this and giving thanks to God for His plan.

Our God is real and truly always there for us, whether we know it or not.  Sometimes, I know I have not been spending loads of quiet time with God and sometimes, I just forget to listen to God.  But our God never forsakes us.  He is always there.

Since December, it has been quite a tough time for me at work and honestly, I think I was feeling a tad depressed especially when I came to know about how evil the world or people can be.  At such times, God reminds me that I have nothing to fear.  When I started feeling very demoralised at work and just felt like giving up and just leave, God reminds me to be patient.  At first, I didn't want to listen and went all out to search for jobs.  And I became quite sad when there was no calls; I was desperate.  Then again, God reminded me to be patient.  Whenever I pray, the key word was patience and it was confirmed also when my ex-boss also had the same message from God.  I then remembered that I need to trust God and be patient.  I became more selective with my job search and found this one job which is a role I enjoy and the environment seems to be awesome from the employees' reviews.

I didn't think that anyone would call me especially with my notice period so I was patient but somehow feeling hopeless.  But God made a way for me and things couldn't go smoother than it is.  I got a call and the timing of interviews were perfectly timed to my convenience.  When God works, all is perfect.  His timing is perfect and everything is perfect.  

Even today's final round of meeting was perfect as the company even accommodated to me as I was not able to take leave.  Well, I was prepared to take urgent leave if it comes to that point.  But look at how blessed I am!  The final round of meeting went well, I suppose.  I enjoyed the meeting and things seem to be positive.  Let's see where it goes from here.  God is in control and I will be patient to see the outcome.

I just want to take this time to thank God for blessing me so abundantly and I know that it is Him who is taking such good care of me and guiding me.  Praise the Lord for His love for me and for his wonderful plans!

Wedding Diary Day 2 - Wedding Gown Choosing

I didn't expect that my second post on my wedding will be almost a year later.  

Oh wells, we picked and "re-picked" our bridal studio fairly quickly and we confirmed with Rico-A-Mona bridal.  We just went for my gown choosing last weekend with the biggest entourage in the bridal shop.  HEHEHE, what to do?  I have many family members and I would love for them to share their views and awesome taste on my gown choosing.  I was really happy to have all of them there for me; their views meant a lot to me! (though of course, I do feel bad for taking up their time, and I took almost 5 hours! :p)

No pictures for now until the wedding day, I suppose.  But I super love my actual day white gown.  All I can say that, it is love at first sight, I guess.  It was the first gown I tried on when I went down to Rico-A-Mona for the first time and then when I tried it again at this second visit, it just felt Perrrrrrrrfect!  Now all I need to do, is not to grow TOO FAT. hahahaha!

Oh and we have confirmed our solemniser and marriage preparation course!  Des has also briefly discussed the GUO DA LI matters with my parents.  So I guess, we are pretty much on track.

Up next and I simply cannot wait, is our prewed shoot!  Oh, before that, we will be taking care of our tan with our upcoming Phuket trip! hahaha.
